Don’t put yourself or others in danger

In Nepal, you will find many animals that you may be tempted to pet, but they can pose dangers to both you and others.

1. Avoid feeding animals.
2. Don’t touch them to prevent diseases.
3. Don’t disturb them when they are around.

During your trip, you will likely encounter animals such as monkeys, yaks, dzopkios, horses, dogs, and many others that you may be tempted to pet.

Avoid offering food or touching wild or stray animals, as you could have an accident or contract a disease if bitten or scratched.

Refrain from feeding local animals, as they may become accustomed to it and cause problems for local residents after you have left.
